Pricing & Membership

What care costs, and why it works this way.

Care at NorthStar is structured as a membership rather than a series of one-off appointments. Hormone therapy and medical weight management both need ongoing monitoring, lab review, and dose adjustment over time. The membership model is what makes that continuity possible.

This is not a high-volume or protocol-driven clinic. Care is individualized and built on an ongoing clinical relationship, with treatment decisions made over time based on your symptoms, your labs, and how you respond.

Initial Consultation

$325 60 minutes

A comprehensive evaluation covering your symptoms, medical history, prior treatments, and goals. You'll leave with an individualized treatment plan and a clear discussion of your options.

Then, ongoing care:

Membership

Hormone Therapy

$175 per month

Three-month minimum

For individualized management of perimenopause and postmenopause, with treatment tailored to your symptoms, labs, and clinical response over time.

  • Follow-up visits as clinically appropriate
  • Routine lab review and interpretation
  • Medication management and dose adjustment
  • Ongoing clinical decision-making between visits
  • Secure messaging for brief, non-urgent questions

Closer follow-up while treatment is being started and adjusted, then monitoring roughly every six months once you're stable.

Membership

Medical Weight Management

$195 per month

Three-month minimum

GLP-1 therapy managed as a structured medical program. Weight is treated as a chronic, multifactorial condition, not a short-term intervention.

  • Ongoing follow-up visits, more frequent early in treatment
  • Medication titration and adjustment
  • Side effect management and clinical guidance
  • Routine lab review
  • Secure messaging for brief, non-urgent questions

Monthly during initiation and dose adjustment, spacing out over time as you stabilize.

Without a membership

Individual visits

$225 Follow-up visit
$125 Lab review or consultation

Non-membership care is limited and may not be appropriate for ongoing hormone therapy or medical weight management, which both require longitudinal follow-up and clinical oversight.

NorthStar is a direct-pay practice. Payment is by credit card. Lab testing and medications are billed separately and depend on your insurance coverage or pharmacy pricing.

Fit

Is this the right care model for you?

We'd rather be honest up front than have you find out three months in. This practice suits some people very well and is a poor fit for others.

This is likely a good fit if you:

  • Are experiencing symptoms of perimenopause, menopause, or hormone imbalance and want a thorough evaluation
  • Prefer personalized treatment over a standardized protocol
  • Understand that hormone therapy needs adjustment over time, rather than a one-time prescription
  • Value ongoing clinical oversight, lab interpretation, and careful dose management
  • Want care that connects your symptoms, your labs, and clinical judgment, rather than treating numbers alone

This may not be the right fit if you:

  • Are looking for a single visit or prescription with no follow-up
  • Want everything handled through messaging
  • Are seeking a fixed protocol or a standard hormone regimen
  • Prefer to manage your own labs and medications without clinical guidance
  • Are looking primarily for the lowest-cost option

Questions

About the membership

Why is care structured as a membership?

Hormone levels and symptoms change over time, especially during perimenopause, and treatment usually needs adjusting based on how you respond.

A membership covers ongoing clinical assessment, lab interpretation, timely dose adjustments, and access to your clinician between visits. It supports individualized care rather than episodic treatment.

Do I need a membership for hormone therapy?

Hormone therapy is not a one-time treatment. It needs monitoring, lab interpretation, and dose adjustment over time, and membership provides the structure for that.

Non-membership visits are available, but most patients benefit from ongoing care during the initial treatment phase.

What is included in the membership?

Follow-up visits as clinically appropriate, routine lab review and interpretation, medication and dose adjustments, and secure messaging for brief, non-urgent questions.

How long do I need to stay on a membership?

There is a three-month minimum, which allows enough time for proper evaluation, lab review, and treatment adjustment. After you stabilize, many patients move to less frequent follow-up.

Are labs included?

No. Lab testing is billed separately.

Routine interpretation of your results is included as part of your ongoing care. If your results require more detailed analysis or a change in treatment, we may recommend a follow-up visit.

Are medications included in the monthly cost?

No. Your membership covers your medical care: visits, medication management, dose adjustment, and lab review. The medication itself is billed separately and depends on your insurance coverage or pharmacy pricing.

Can I just schedule visits as needed instead of joining a membership?

Yes, though care works differently. Non-membership follow-up visits are $225 and lab reviews are $125, billed individually.

This suits patients who prefer episodic care, but it does not offer the same continuity or access.

Can everything be handled through messaging?

No. Messaging is for brief, non-urgent questions and clarifications.

New symptoms, medication changes, and detailed lab interpretation need a scheduled visit, so there's enough time to think it through properly.

Do you take insurance?

NorthStar is a direct-pay practice and does not bill insurance. This keeps your care private, unhurried, and focused on you rather than on insurance requirements.

Many insurance plans do cover your prescriptions and lab work, and we provide whatever your pharmacy needs to check your coverage.

Start with the initial consultation.

Sixty minutes, $325. We'll go through your history, your symptoms, and what you've already tried, and decide together what makes sense from there. No obligation to continue.
